DIGITAL PAINTING

Digital paintings are a form of art style that is realistic, like graphite & charcoal, but allows for color. I use Adobe Photoshop as my software with a wacom intuos pro tablet and Wacom Pro Pen 2 to paint with. My process for digital painting is relatively simple: I use the photo references to pull colors from directly for accuracy and make blots of colors with certain brush tools to mark out where they go. I then use the ‘smudge’ tool to blend all of the colors and add texture, like fur. Technology is pretty cool! Each portrait takes me about a couple of weeks to complete fully.
