Snowflake Monoprints
| K & 1st Grade |
Project scope—
For kindergarten and 1st graders, I took a crack at mono-printing with a snowflake design. Overall, I was very pleased with the results and their knowledge of snowflakes. Adding in some science vocabulary helps access prior knowledge and reinforce concepts of liquids, solids, and different types of weather. This lesson required the use of a paint brush and a Q-tip for mark making on top of plexiglass sheets.
Learning Objectives—
Students will learn that they can create a snowflake symbol through tempera paint mono-printing.
